Extend the surgical reality of fresh-frozen bodies up to two weeks by using our unique F4L low-hazardous soft-fix embalming recipe.
This new low-hazardous embalming recipe is especially developed for medical skills centres that have chosen to store their bodies in freezers instead of immersion tanks. Whereas a fresh-frozen body after thawing can only be used 1 or 2 days due to ongoing putrefaction, a “F4L-embalmed-frozen body” can be used for several surgical training courses up to a total period of about 14 days while maintaining excellent lifelike morphology. It also contributes to a more efficient and safe use of donated bodies.
A table listing the F4L-recipes and all the benefits of F4L-embalmed bodies in comparison to single-use fresh-frozen bodies can be found here.

Scientific poster assessing the suitability of Fix4Life Cadavers for medical and surgical training in
comparison with fresh-frozen and formalin fixed preservation methods.
Presented at the 2022 annual meeting of the German Anatomical Society by Niklas Goernitz and Nadja Seidel of the Surgical-Anatomical Training Centre at the Berlin Simulation and Training Centre (Best-CAT) Charité.
New article in Anesthesia & Analgesia journal:
Comparison of a Novel Cadaver Model (Fix for Life) with the Formalin-Fixed Cadaver and Manikin Model for Suitability and Realism in Airway Management Training
• Question: Is a novel cadaver model a suitable and realistic model for acquiring airway management techniques?
• Finding: The novel cadaver model was ranked best for mask ventilation and was considered the most realistic for laryngeal mask insertion.
• Meaning: The novel cadaver model could be a suited and more realistic alternative to manikins in training airway management techniques to novices.
